Atelier Quinta is a production company founded by Meraki and Shosho for independent storytelling. We produce auteur films, immersive experiences, VR projects, and documentaries — often in collaboration with artists, museums, and cultural institutions. From short docs to large-scale immersive installations, we believe in creative work that takes risks and engage the audience.
Film
An Incomplete Drowning is a collaboration with Palestinian artist Larissa Sansour and Danish author and filmmaker Søren Lind, internationally acclaimed artists whose previous work has been shown at the Venice Biennale (Danish Pavilion, 2019), Tate Modern, MoMA, Centre Pompidou and the Istanbul Biennial. The film continues Sansour and Lind's practice of blending science fiction, archaeology and political narrative — exploring themes of memory, cultural heritage and identity through highly crafted visual storytelling.
Immersive Projection
"In Search of Beauty" is an immersive 25 minute installation that explores the works and lives of the brothers Herman, Paul and Johan van Lymborch, whose talent took them from the city of Nijmegen to the royal courts of France. Bringing to live the detailed illuminated pages of their books provides a glimpse in the world of the early 15th century. Narrated by Bart van Loo.
In Develepment
Punishment of a Hunter — Paulus Potter is a philosophical essay documentary currently in development, directed by Sasha Yakovleva. The film uses the work of 17th-century Dutch painter Paulus Potter as a lens to explore how humans have historically looked at animals — and what that gaze reveals about us today.
